Tummy time

 

I know that the pictures speak for themselves but just love to see our little one in his different stages, now he is able to hold his head more, he's discovering new things he is able to do and he's more happy and we too because we see how he's growing and getting stronger and happier!

Thanksgiving day

We were a little bit sad to move a couple days before Thanksgiving day, we had some invitations that we declined, but for our surprise a couple from our new ward invited us to have dinner with them that day, we're very excited!! We just had to bring a cherry pie.
On Thanksgiving day, Joel was sick, some fever, stuffy nose and lots of crying, so we ended canceling and stayed home, fortunately that cold lasted only two days that were hard on him and us.
 Tom ran to the store to get something so we could have our Thanksgiving dinner, he took care of Joel while I fixed dinner, and for dessert we had pumpkin and cherry pie that we made as well.

We were/are grateful for all the blessings we have been enjoying, for our little family and for our relatives that are not that close to us, and the joy to have Joel with us in his first Thanksgiving celebration.

SnowBirds adventures

We finally moved to Yuma, Az (closer to Mx). We started at 8am on Saturday Nov.20th, some members from our old ward helped us and in an hour everything was inside the truck ready to go, we had a good trip, we we're worried of how Joel would do, he did great, took a couple naps, and down here where some members from our new ward ready to help, they finished in around 40 mins. Now we are settled in our new home for the next few months!! We we're ready to move here and even though its a 2 bedroom apartment it feels like home, more comfortable!

Now we're Snowbirds -that's the nickname that people who move to Yuma during the winter time are called, although usually are senior couples I think it would apply to us because that's the time we'll be living here! Anyways! Yuma is a small town comprised mostly of winter visitors, Marines, and migrant workers.  We're so happy in our new ward, everybody is so friendly and there are lots of babies around Joel's age, so he might have a couple of play dates!

Mobile

As we moved to our new place, we had the opportunity to get everything ready for Joel to feel comfortable.  His crib was ready, but there was something missing, his mobile!  As soon as we put it up Joel got very excited and shouted with happiness, we enjoy seeing him happy!

3.5 months

Finally I got his big SMILE!

 We hope Joel loves music, he looks pretty excited when he gets close to the keyboard and we encourage him to play a little bit even though the sounds are not the best right now, but hopefully one day soon...the important is that he gets exposed to it.

 We wanted to take a picture of him with this out fit, he no longer fits in there so at least we got a picture before I pack it with the rest of his clothes that is too small.

Dressed in his Sunday best

Here we are again, we have been a little behind on updating how well our little Joel is doing and how he is growing and being more adorable!
We have been taking some pictures of some of his outfits he has been wearing for Church, it has been so nice to see him dressing very nicely on Sundays.

This is a memorable picture, it was our last Sunday in Phoenix, it was Stake Conference that day, I meant memorable because we didn't get the chance to take pictures after Church services, there was always something going on.It was hard because after Sacrament meeting, Tom had to go to teach his 10-12 year old class and stayed with the Primary; and I had to be with the YW and some sundays had to stay longer due to some meetings with the Bishop and the other organizations or Youth meetings. But here we are!

Joel loves his dad a lot, enjoys being with him

Joel's blessing was a very special day, it was on Sunday November 7th. There were some good friends helping/supporting Tom, and Joel did just great, he's a very well behaved baby.
