Part I. WHITE COAT Ceremony -100909

The White Coat Ceremony is where all the Midwestern students received a white coat from the doctors and professors from their program, during the ceremony are reminded to be very professional and dedicated to serve others, using the skills they are getting through going to school.
There were all the students from the Health sciences program, Dentistry, DO, Pharmacist, it was a short program that was very long due to all the students that recieved their coat. It was a very exciting start for all the students and families.

Bowling time

Since we got here, we were looking for an opportunity to go bowling, but because it was summer time we thought was always with lots of people that we couldn't never make it, so now summer is over and still lots of people all the time at the lanes....so we went early one Friday and we finally made it...we got a lane for us to play! Yay!! It was fun....probably we need to think in getting a franchise over here because all the bowling places are always busy, don't make reservations and they put your name on a waiting list..crazy!!! It looks like a good business!!

Here showing our terrific experience bowling....

Baking time - Cinnamon Rolls

We have a very good recipe, well we like it a lot, so we have been baking some Cinnamon Rolls and here are some pictures to prove it!!! We definitely have to invite you some time to enjoy them.....

If you are wondering the reason why we have gained some weight here it is...lots of temptation for us!

Salt River Tubing

Before summer was over we tried to do something fun around here, so we planned on going to the Salt River Tubing we invited a friend from Tom that just got here...

It was a 3 hour long, and because we wanted to be ready, we brought some snacks, water, sunblock....

It was very relaxing to be there in the middle of the nature and also very exciting for some rapids we found on our way...

Besides some wild horses we saw hanging out, we saw some vultures flying around but not on us they were in their on business haha!
The only frustrating or scaring thing was that we almost missed the exit that we wanted to get out, because there were some rapids close to that end that it was really hard to stand up with the tub without not felling down, we had a little fight with the water that I lost one of my sandals almost the other one too but Tom rescue it! It was hard to walk on the hot rocks as we went to reach the bus that was waiting for us. We had fun without doubt. This day is a day to remember!!

Tom's crazy combination....

Everything was perfect until......

One morning during breakfast we were talking about cereals, and some how it came Captain Crunch and Hawaiian Punch together.....

It was crazy for me to think about combining them...but not but somebody else....so he tried....

I was happy that it was only a little bit left of both of them...so no new tries in a while...

I know this is a FREE country and we are FREE to choose or do what we please us....but hopefully we won't have Hawaiian Punch or Captain Crunch together again at home...

Tom's B-day!!

Here is Tom's with his presents and B-day cards!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.....!!!

We celebrated Tom's B-day with some of his friends that we invited for dinner that are Midwestern students as well, they met at BYU.
We had caldo tlapleno (chicken soup with rice, avocado, queso fresco, carrots), tostadas and one of Tom's favorite dessert CHOCOFLAN!

The Thursday before his B-day, I went with some girls from Church to a pizza place and they were having a promo that when you had a buffet they gave you a ticket, I scratched it and I won 2 free large pizzas & garlic bread, so we went to celebrate on Monday, we got some drinks and played a little bit, it was fun!!!
