Girls Camp 2009 - Lo mia

Last Wednesday, I got an invitation to go with the YW of my ward to the Girls Camp because they didn't have leaders going with them the whole time, I was really excited because it would be my first camp! So on Friday early morning (at 6am) we met at the Stake Center . Then when we arrived to the camp, the YCL (Youth Camp Leaders) welcoming us and gave us the theme for the Camp. There is a Church there, is beautiful in the middle of the forest, that area is called the Sacred Grove. There were different activities that I had the opportunity to participate when I accompanied them. Some of the activities were : archery, air riffle, rappelling, canoeing, hiking, devotionals, crafts, dance and certifications! It was a fun experience to be around the YW, definitely it was great and uplifting experience!!!! We could feel a wonderful spirit there!!!

4th of July

Here it is how we celebrated the 4th of July!!
First thing early in the morning we went hiking at 6.30am, it was very warm by that time and lots of people were already there, we were very excited this was our first hiking together, it was fun because it was just perfect to finish before it started to be more and more warm.

In the evening we had a bbq in our apartment complex, hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, chips, and lots of food where there. We had the opportunity to meet some other neighbors. We were very lucky that evening, that's what everybody said because there were 4 prizes and each one of us got a prize, we were very surprised! That was fun!!!!

Mesa Temple early morning trip

Last friday July 3rd we decided to go early to the Temple, first we thought to leave at 500am and we ended up leaving at 5.30am and it was when Tom found the street lights flashing yellow to the main street and red for us, so it was a good start. It wasn't that warm, but very nice.
We took some pictures before we went into the sessions. What a magnificent place is the Temple. This was our second time going there!!

We have a very nice and comfortable apartment, where we celebrate my B-day and Tom made a delicious pizza, that was our first one homemade pizza.
There is neat family (The Najeras's) in our ward that has welcoming us and make us feel home that is a good attribute each one of the have. We have been invited couple times for dinner at their house, where we have had an enjoyable time with them!
