3D - Doctor's visit

Yesterday 062310, we had our monthly visit with the Doctor, glucose blood test (which wasn't fun at all) and a 3D ultrasound where we were able to see a little bit more about Joel, he is doing great!!! He is kicking and moving around more and more. He's weighing a little over 3 lbs, and I have gained around 16 lbs. total, from yesterday my visits will be every two weeks, and then every week.
Hopefully we can get some things ready like having my pre-registration at the Hospital and after we move, the rest of little things we are missing.
So far we feel excited and very happy, about knowing that the time to have our little angel with us is getting closer!!!

Happy Father's day!

Some presents and cards, that Joel's favorite Dad got for Father's day!!!
The card with the car was given to Tom during Primary with a little message from Joel

Father's day activity

Last Saturday  061910, we had the celebration of Father's day with the members from our ward, we enjoyed some good food and ice cream, and the dads had the opportunity to play and have some fun playing against the youth!!
Here getting the food ready for the Dad's! I helped them, but wanted to take a few pictures as well...

Everybody enjoying the food and socializing, even though it was super hot!
The only lucky ones were the kids, because somebody turned on the sprinkles and they all got wet, which was nice and refreshing!
Here Tom ready to play!!

Everybody had lots of fun playing

Friends B-day's celebration

Last Friday 061810,  to celebrate the B-day of some of us, some friends from Church gather together in the complex of one of them, and because they have kids (and me one on the way!) we went to the pool so all their children could have some fun,  it was a great opportunity to refresh a little bit because lately we have been close to 110 degrees!!

Time for lunch, mmm!!

Opening presents!
These are the presents my friends gave to me! Thank you =D

We definitely had a great time, a good excuse to have some fun and socialize!

Our first apartment

We have been living in Arizona for a year already, and we haven't introduce or share with all of you our little peace of heaven, before we move from here, we want to show you how it looks like, these picture were taken a few months ago with the intention of sharing them with you but is better late than never, the only difference is that right now we have couple boxes here and there, trying to get things ready so it's easy to move by the beginning of July. We realize that one bedroom apartment with a baby is not enough space.

Wedding reception-friday night

Since Tom couldn't go to work ( to his rotation) on Friday, because the Doctor from the Pediatrics office was sick again so the Dr Assistant called him so he didn't go, but because we were already awake we watched the Frist game of the World Cup, Mexico vs South Africa, did some exercise, later went to the movies (matinee, so it's cheap) and at night we went to a wedding reception from an Elder that served here in the area. It was fun and nice to spend some time with them and other members from Church. So we kept ourselves busy, actually it was a very relax day......one of the last ones probably!

Grand Canyon trip

As part of celebrating our Anniversary a little bit late, we made a trip to the Grand Canyon,  we wanted to go since we got here but it isn't a good idea during summer time.We enjoyed a lot to see the different beauty Arizona has.
.
Made a little stop at Prescott, a little nice town

Getting closer =)

Waiting in line, almost there

There are couple options for exploring the canyon:  1) go hiking down the Grand Canyon, 2) Ride a horse. We didn't do any of them, we are not in shape to do it...probably next time!
This is a train that take you from Williams, a small town 45 mins (driving) away from where the Grand Canyon is, so that's another option to ride in it, which is great, because there is nice service and a beautiful view. The only bad thing is that is too expensive around $150 per person. Anyways, we enjoyed driving and spend less than that for both of us......
