Pinata - mexican party

Saturday evening, after the BBQ from Church, we went to Mesa because we had an invitation to a Pinata (party) from a lady who is from Ana's same hometown in Mx, we got a little late, there were tacos (they had a catering service that makes them just like in Mx), also hot dogs for the kids or for those who didn't want tacos, lots of snacks on the tables, and a girl dressed up like a clown, who was in charge of games for the kids, they had 2 pinatas that looked like a cupcake, besides that, after all the kids finished hitting the pinata, they made a line to get a little bag with candies, so we asked one for our baby boy, who Ana is representing right now, after that was the turn of the cake with lots of cupcakes around it, we sang happy b-day and the little b-day girl blew out the candle with her mom's help and as tradition made her give a little bite to the cake .... we left the party before they opened the presents...but it was fun to be part of a Mexican party around here...!!

Easter ward picnic

Last Saturday afternoon, our ward had an Easter picnic (barbecue) @ a Park, we had the opportunity to gather together and spend some time, our bishop with another member were @ the grill while all the boys were playing either basketball or soccer (hope you can find Tom around there playing), and all the little ones had some fun games and activities for them as well, it was a fun time!!!

Baby Dr appt - update

On Wednesday, we had another Dr appointment where we went through an anatomy ultrasound check up for the baby, here we found out that the baby is doing great, swimming around, growing, he got the measure of his head, legs, arms, and checked also his kidneys, lungs, stomach and in summary all his little cute body. His heart beat is 142 and he weights 12 oz right now...amazing how they can know all that with just an Ultrasound!!! Happy to know that baby is happy and doing ok!! =D

First Easter Egg Decoration

 

 

We wanted to start the Easter egg decoration even though the baby hasn't arrived yet, just to be in shape for when it happens, so we bought a kit @ the store. We invited a neighbor and she enjoyed it a lot like us, it was fun to be playing around with different colors on the eggs and be a little bit creative in some cases!!  We are ready for next year!!!

Cravings

Ready for a week!!!  These are some of the fruits baby Joel has making me crave during this past months, just missing the grapes in the picture. It makes me feel much better some fruit throughout the day, and it can make a big difference if I decide to eat them or to eat something different. Right now I'm craving for pineapple but haven't found a good deal, keeping an eye open for one!! But still enjoying what we have now. Delicious, refreshing and yummi!!!!

Roadshow Peoria stk

 

These are only 3 of the 8 Road shows presented by the youth from our Stake last Friday 032610 and Wednesday 033110. It was a lot of work since February to make this real, it was worth it at the end, all of us could enjoy each one of them, and could appreciate how the youth from Church has different opportunities to develop their talents and skills.
