Preparedness Fair

First aid kit

Here we have the dehydration, little stove and solar oven

Getting more familiar with the packing process, we have some boxes in our storage but haven't been able to do it by ourselves, so we had a great opportunity to learn, very easy!!!

We thought only cactus could grow here, but we were wrong, we were amazed in the gardening station, when we discovered how many different things we can grow in Arizona, unbelievable!

Different kinds of canning

One of the teachers from seminary was assigned to one of the stations, so she gave us a loaf of homemade white wheat bread. She showed how to make one to all of the visitors. The other station was showing the mills (electric & manual) and ideas of different things you can cook-bake using wheat as well.

72 hours kit

Today we started our day early, @ 8am we went to a Road show practice with the youth from our ward, we got very excited because they are doing pretty good! They are performing Mulan next week, so these were some of their last final practices @ the stage.

Then after that, we went to a Church "Preparedness Fair", what a great reminder of things we should be doing, at least we have some of them already!!! There were different stations where we could stop and ask about each one of them (we just got some pictures to some of them), information was available for us to bring and read so we can get started, but I think we were the ones that stayed the longest, we got there around 9.30 and left after 11.30, we enjoy it a lot!!
